For JB117’s project with Saipem commencing end 2020 Jack-Up Barge will have fitted the vessel with their portable DP2 system. Installation and testing will take place during wintertime and the vessel will be ready for an intermediate assignment on the North Sea end Q1.
Saipem has teamed up with Jack-Up Barge for support during the construction of FLNG offloading and berthing facilities in North West Africa at the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim field offshore Mauritania and Senegal.
Jack-Up Barge has been awarded a contract by Saipem to supply jack up barge JB117 to support the piling operations for the installation of the berthing and loading facilities for an international oil company.
Eiffage and Saipem are contracted to perform the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of the hub/terminal. Saipem’s scope focusses on the Engineering Procurement and Installation of berthing and loading facilities.
The JB117 will see a number of modifications emphasizing the versatility of the GustoMSC design. This includes additional crane capacity, installation of dynamic positioning and an outrigger.
“Jack-Up Barge is pleased to support Saipem. It provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the versatility of our equipment. We have long been active during the construction of LNG facilities globally but the scope on this project is unique. We look forward to develop this partnership and cooperate on this exceptional project.” says Erwin Lammertink, CEO Van Es Holding.
