I76t Transformers Transported on Goldhofer THP Trailers by Viktor Baumann GmbH

Two 200MVA transformers have been transported from the plant in Mönchengladbach to the port in Krefeld.
Each weighed 176.1t and measured:
- Length 9600mm
- Width 3240mm
- Height 4530mm
Baumann’s Mercedes Arocs 4163 8×6 tractor
The transport was carried out in one night by Viktor Baumann GmbH, each transformer loaded on 18 axles of Goldhofer THP heavy-duty modular trailers, one towed by a Mercedes Arocs 4163 8×6 tractor and the other by MAN Maurer 8×6 tractor.
In order to secure the weak infrastructure, the bridge crossing system on the transport line in Steinforth had to be designed.
