Hua Yang Long Delivers Drilling Rig from Shanghai to Mexico

Early in January, 2021, the heavy lift submersible vessel “Hua Yang Long” unloaded an offshore drilling platform at the anchorage of Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche in Mexico.
The platform’s dimensions were
- 99.9m long,
- 68m wide
- 165m total height (including legs)
- 22,000t total weight.
The “Hua Yang Long” sailed from Shanghai on October 28, 2020, sailing through the East China Sea and the South China Sea, passing through the Strait of Malacca into the Indian Ocean, passing the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa, into the Atlantic Ocean, crossing the Caribbean Sea, and entering the Gulf of Mexico.
The total voyage was 15,132 nautical miles and lasted 66 days.
