HEBO converts Allseas’ pipelay barge Tog Mor into offshore construction barge HEBO-CB 1
HEBO, a leading maritime company and part of Marine People, a group of maritime companies, announced today that it has acquired the former shallow water pipelay barge Tog Mor from Allseas. HEBO plans to convert the vessel into an offshore construction barge, which will be named HEBO-CB 1, aimed at supporting projects in the civil and energy markets.
The news follows yesterday’s announcement from Allseas that it was saying farewell to Tog Mor. This vessel, originally built in 1975 as a cargo bargo and modified throughout time, will now be converted into the offshore construction barge HEBO-CB 1.
The vessel will feature a 300t crane, a 8-point mooring system, accommodation for 144 personnel and 1300m2 deck space, enabling it to undertake a wide range of offshore construction tasks efficiently. With this strategic acquisition, HEBO is set to enhance its capabilities in the offshore sector, providing innovative solutions for construction projects.
“We are thrilled to welcome Tog Mor into our fleet as HEBO-CB 1,” says Marius Punt, CEO at HEBO. “This barge conversion, along with its impressive features, will bolster our operations and help us to better serve our clients in the civil and energy sectors, particularly as we see increased activity in offshore projects.”
HEBO will begin the conversion process shortly, with the goal of positioning HEBO-CB 1 to meet the evolving needs of the market.
