Groundbreaking Titan Wind Energy Project Successfully Launched in Cuxhaven

The groundbreaking Titan Wind Energy project has been successfully launched at the 31-hectare heavy-duty storage area which is being built in Cuxhaven. When completed it will play a key role in the handling and storage of machine parts for offshore wind turbines in the future.

A specially developed special aggregate mixture has been created for this project that not only meets the highest technical requirements, but also takes sustainable aspects into account – an important step towards sustainable construction.

On December 30, 2024, the first ship, Milbau Stema Group’s own self discharging Bulk Carrier, Bulknes, with the special mixture was unloaded in Cuxhaven. However, due to strong winds, the material had to be unloaded at their terminal at Lübbertkai instead of at berth 8 as originally planned.

Thanks to efficient organization, an impressive 26,000t of the material were transported to the construction project within just three days with two dumper trucks. A total construction volume of 1 million tons of the material (STS 0/32 TGE) is expected, which will be used over the entire construction period.

The processing and installation are carried out in close cooperation with their experienced partner Freimuth Unternehmensgruppe. Completion of the heavy-duty warehouse is scheduled for the end of 2025, and production is scheduled to start in 2026.

The TITAN project stands for innovation, cooperation and the common path to a green future.

Titan is also able to provide operational support globally in service, repair, advice and inspection. With decades of experience in the industry, Titan always delivers products and service with high standard quality and flexibility.
