Goldhofer to Launch Air-Suspended TRAILSTAR at IAA Transportation in September
At this year’s IAA Transportation from September 20th to 25th in Hanover, Goldhofer will be presenting the new air-suspended trailer “TRAILSTAR” from the “STAR” family for the first time in addition to its “STEPSTAR” semi-trailer.The three- to five-axle trailer with air suspension offers transport companies the greatest possible flexibility and top quality with maximum weight savings. Thanks to its new design, the length of the loading area and the loading centre provides optimal uses.
The new “TRAILSTAR” adopts the many proven advantages of the »STEPSTAR« product line in the trailer area also meeting the increasing demands on flexible transport solutions. Like the “STEPSTAR”, the “TRAILSTAR” has intelligent details including a practice-oriented load securing concept, form-fitting stake pocket strips and the tried-and-tested ramp system for an extremely low drive-on angle, so that low-floor vehicles can also be accommodated. In addition, the new trailers have continuous 10t lashing points on the loading area. A very wide, deep and long excavator handle trough for storing large excavator handles is available as an option.
But the innovative trailer can do even more: “Like all vehicles in the »STAR« family, it has the best possible payload/dead weight ratio. In addition, the 4- and 5-axle versions are equipped with self-steering for even greater manoeuvrability,” says Markus Albrecht, Product Line Manager of the “STAR” family at Goldhofer. In addition, the flexible trailer has additional Wader container locks for transporting 10 foot construction containers.
The “TRAILSTAR” is available with the new Goldhofer “CargoPlus” tyres for axle loads of ten or twelve tons, allowing a usable loading height of 780 mm (-60/+140 mm). By expanding the product portfolio of the “STEPSTAR” product line with the new “TRAILSTAR”, Goldhofer offers haulage companies in the construction and forwarding sectors the opportunity to transport universal loads inexpensively, reliably, quickly and safely.
“With the “STAR” family, we have developed a simple, robust and economical product line that our customers can use to significantly increase the range of uses of their fleets. The targeted common parts strategy within the “STAR” family ensures economies of scale in our customers’ fleet management and increases the profitability of their fleet,” says Robert Steinhauser, Head of Sales Europe/North Africa at Goldhofer.
The flexible solutions make Goldhofer a strong partner in everyday business and help to keep an eye on costs with proven quality and short delivery times.
The well-thought-out concept, the intelligent details, a practice-oriented range of accessories and the simple, almost self-explanatory operation have resulted in the “STEPSTAR” enjoying high demand. The use of many high-quality premium components also pays off: Customer feedback has shown that the maintenance intervals are longer due to the high quality and the overall operating costs are therefore significantly reduced compared to comparable vehicles.
Goldhofer is presenting the “STEPSTAR” and the new “TRAILSTAR”, both in a four-axle design, at the IAA Transportation in Hall 25, Stand C07.
