Goldhofer Attracts Industry Experts and Trade Visitors at IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024 in Hannover

Goldhofer AG made an outstanding trade fair appearance at IAA Transportation 2024, impressing both trade visitors and industry experts alike. The exhibits attracted large numbers of interested parties with the innovative solutions and outstanding benefits of the vehicles on display.

Previously announced at IAA 2022 and this year presented as one of the Goldhofer exhibits, the five-axle STEPSTAR Z generated keen interest on the part of visitors. With its robust design and easy handling, the STEPSTAR Z is an efficient solution for heavy haul operations that also reduces operating costs for customers. With its outstanding payload-to-deadweight ratio, the STEPSTAR Z delivers considerable weight savings, resulting in payloads of up to 48.5t within permit. The intelligent design and use of premium components guarantee a long service life and excellent reliability. That translates into reduced maintenance costs and increased vehicle uptime. Thanks to its intelligent load securing system, the STEPSTAR Z ensures safe loading and transportation for maximum safety and efficiency when transporting large and heavy loads. The optional TRAFFIDECK^TM GO floor covering offers more loading height and is 80% lighter compared to conventional rubber mats. Sanding of the loading area ensures safety in all weather conditions.

Hildegard Müller, President of the VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry), was also impressed by the innovative solutions and top quality vehicles presented by Goldhofer and particularly stressed the importance of technical innovation for the future of the industry. Dennis Leschensky, Director of Sales Europe & North Africa, summed up the trade fair from the Goldhofer perspective as follows: “IAA Transportation 2024 was a complete success. The positive feedback from visitors as well as the ongoing internationalization of the IAA and the many interesting talks strengthen us in our resolve to continue developing innovative and reliable solutions for the heavy haul industry.”

A Goldhofer highlight on display in the outdoor area of this year’s trade show was the self-tracking trailing dolly for precast concrete elements, which made a big impression in terms of design and the ability to safely transport particularly long and heavy loads. Particularly in combination with a dolly, a wide range of loads with a payload of over 70t can be transported. The turntable steering angle of +/- 100° ensures high maneuverability, especially when maneuvering in tight spaces. All in all, this makes the vehicle concept an indispensable solution for construction companies and logistics service providers.
