Goldhofer Set for a Move in 2020
Goldhofer makes a long term investment in a modern production facility.
Experts from the University of St. Gallen and the Academy of German Global Market Leaders (Schwäbisch-Hall) have once again confirmed the leading role played by Goldhofer AG in the field of heavy haulage and oversized cargo transportation vehicles. This is the third time in a row that the Memmingen-based company, which is present on six continents, has received the coveted award. “We are absolutely delighted with this distinction, especially as it reflects the worldwide customer satisfaction deriving from the know-how, experience and above all enthusiastic commitment of our employees. That is the key to market leadership. My thanks and those of my colleagues go to all Goldhofer employees around the world,” says Lothar Holder, CEO at Goldhofer AG.
This year Goldhofer again made its mark by outperforming the relevant criteria in the field of heavy haulage and oversized cargo transportation vehicles. In the 2017/18 financial year, Goldhofer’s 751 employees generated net sales worth over 213 million euros, with exports accounting for 83 percent of the total, a reflection of the fact that the company, which was founded in 1705, is present with its products on all six continents of the world. But the Global Market Leader Champion 2020 has always remained true to its origins: As one of the oldest German companies in the Global Market Leader Index, Goldhofer AG is wholly owned by the Memmingen-based Alois Goldhofer Foundation.
The annual list of global market leaders from Germany is based on an objective and transparent selection process. Data collected from publicly accessible sources is evaluated and, based on strict criteria, those German companies are listed which occupy a leading global position in their respective market segments.
