Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s Bold Tern Upgrading at Keppel Fels

The Bold Tern is currently being upgraded at Keppel FELS Ltd Pioneer Yard in Singapore with a brand new 1600t Huisman crane and other modifications on a FELS Can Do Submersible Barge.
The hull and jacking system modifications are well underway, preparing the vessel for the installation of the new main crane in Q1 2022.
This upgrade will more than double Bold Tern’s lifting capacity while maintaining the deck load capacity, making her capable of installing all known upcoming turbine sizes.
