Fred. Olsen Ocean Opens Office to Support Offshore Wind in Taiwan

Fred. Olsen Ocean has opened a branch office in Taipei, Taiwan to support the growing offshore wind business in the Asia Pacific region.

The new office is located at the centre of Taipei and it will be the base for Hans A. Hansen, newly appointed Regional Manager for APAC, who has been with Fred. Olsen since 2013.

“Taiwan and the Asia Pacific region holds many opportunities for our business, and we believe Taipei is the ideal location from which we can easily reach our clients in very short time. We want to leverage the experience and competence we have in our companies and teams onshore and offshore to bring our industry forward and to build value locally where we operate. We are especially focused on the interesting future projects in Taiwan”, says Hans A. Hansen

The companies represented by the new office is Fred. Olsen Windcarrier AS, Global Wind Service AS and Universal Foundation AS.

During the spring of 2020, Fred. Olsen Windcarrier will mobilise one of its purpose-built jack-up vessels for the Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm – the company’s first Taiwanese transportation and installation project and its first project in Asia. The client is Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy – a long term partner with whom we have executed many offshore wind farm projects in the past.

The new office is located at 106 台北市大安區忠孝東路四段270號17樓 or in English: 17F, No.270, Sec.4, Zhongxiao East Road, Da’an Dist., Taipei City 106.
