Ten columns, weighing from 5t to 170t, had to be installed during the new construction of UPM Biochemicals state-of-the-art biorefinery in Leuna, Germany.
The schedule was tight and dependent on the completion of the steel structure.
Mammoet developed an efficient and flexible installation concept to safely lift the columns into the up to 30m high steel structure.
Even when the installation order had to be adjusted, Mammoet’s team responded with flexibility to complete all the additional lifting work within the given schedule.
