First Steel Cut for Royal Boskalis Megahopper at Royal IHC
Royal IHC has announced a major milestone today: the first steel has been cut this week for the Royal Boskalis megahopper
It was a significant moment on 9 January when Boskalis Executive Board member Theo Baartmans officially cut the first steel plate of their new 31,000m³ TSHD designed by Royal IHC in close cooperation with Royal Boskalis.

A big shout out to the Royal IHC Metalix department. It is thanks to their craftsmanship and dedication that they are on the way to the construction of this state-of-the-art dredger.

Royal Boskalis announced in October last year that they has signed a contract with Royal IHC for a large state-of-the-art trailing suction hopper dredger to be built at the Royal IHC yard in Krimpen aan den IJssel.
