First Monopile for Equinor’s Empire Wind 1 Rolls Out at Sif’s New Maasvlakte 2 Production Facility

Sif Group have proudly announced today that the manufacture of the first monopile for Equinor’s Empire Wind 1 project has been successfully completed yesterday at their new larger facility on Maasvlakte 2 in the Port of Rotterdam.
The total project is on track for the production of 54 monopiles and transition pieces to be completed in Q1 next year for the offshore wind farm situated 15 to 30 miles (24km to 48km) south of Long Island in the state of New York.
Sif are preparing to manufacture +/- 200 monopiles per year with the extra production facility enforcing their position in the Global Energy Transition.
