Financial Closure for Dogger Bank Confirms OHT Foundations Transport and Installation Contract

Following the announcement from SSE Renewables and Equinor regarding the financial close on Dogger Bank Wind Farm, OHT are pleased to confirm that this lifts the final subject in our installation contract for the monopile foundations on Dogger Bank A & B.

‘This is a significant milestone for all stakeholders to the projects, confirming that the conditional contracts awarded for the world’s largest offshore wind farm are now made effective. This includes OHT’s contract to transport and install the foundations, starting in 2022. We look forward to contributing to a successful project for SSE Renewables and Equinor’ said Lars Kjuul Kristensen, Project Manager, OHT.

The project will be the first foundation installation project for OHT’s Ulstein Designed custom built vessel Alfa Lift, due for delivery late 2021.

OHT’s Commercial Manager for the project, Eirik Rieber-Mohn adds ‘we are progressing well and enjoy a good and constructive relationship with the Dogger Bank project delivery team’.
