Fifth Liebherr LHM Mobile Harbour Crane Boosts Port Esbjerg’s Modular Cargo and Project Goods Facility

Port Esbjerg has recently welcomed another impressive addition to its fleet: a mobile harbour crane of the LHM 600 type.

With a lifting capacity of up to 208t in a single lift, this crane is already in operation and has become an integral part of the port’s crane fleet.

Port Esbjerg boasts a total of five LHM mobile harbour cranes, making it one of Europe’s largest and most robust collections of such equipment.
The crane fleet’s twin-lift capability is impressive. By combining the power of its largest cranes, the two LHM 800s, Port Esbjerg can lift over 600t in tandem.

This remarkable crane capacity positions the port as a leader in handling modular cargo and project goods. Whether it’s battling high winds or adapting to diverse weather conditions, the mobile cranes demonstrate remarkable flexibility under the skilled guidance of experienced crane operators.

Port Esbjerg’s commitment to excellence extends beyond its impressive crane fleet. With a cargo volumes of app. 4.5 million tons annually, 5,500 vessel arrivals, and 6 fixed liner routes to 25 destinations, the port remains a strong and competitive player in the world of modular goods and project cargo.
