Felbermayr Subsidiary Domarin Prepares to Remove Damaged Carolabrücke Sections in Dresden

The city of Dresden commissioned the Felbermayr subsidiary Domarin as a specialist in the field of water work and dredging for work on the Carolabrücke in Dresden, which collapsed in September 2024. These include the returning the Elbe river bed  to the earlier condition and support for preparatory measures for dismantling the damaged bridge sections.

Domarin supplied 3,000t of hydraulic stones for the temporary construction road. Around 6,000t of gravel have been dredged from the fairway section below the bridge to repair the river bed.

For this current work  Domarin are working with a push boat, an excavator on a spud leg barge, the push barge “Elisabeth” and a 64t excavator.
