Felbermayr Lift Terrarium Components into Salzburg’s Museum for Natural Science and Technology,

On Thursday night last week, the components for the new terrarium were delivered to the Museum for Natural Science and Technology, Haus der Natur, in Salzburg to be lifted into place by the experts from Felbermayr.
In order to position the Liebherr MK 88, mobile construction crane, in the densely built-up area, the Franz-Josef-Kai had to be closed and the trolleybus lines had to be disconnected.
When the crane had been installed, the glass and steel frame for the new terrarium, weighing up to 2t, were lifted over the 20m high roof into the inner courtyard.
By 5:00 on Friday morning the work had been successfully completed.
