Fagioli Contracted for Rotor Shipment from Italy to China
Fagioli was contracted for the transport and shipping operation of a rotor from the Italian manufacturing area in Terni to Shanghai port in China.
Fagioli Project Logistics and Heavy Rail departments managed to organize the transport by involving several proprietary equipment in Italy and the shipment of the item, from Civitavecchia port, by chartering a dedicated heavy lift vessel.
Fagioli dedicated staff of technicians directly provided all necessary information to identify the reliable solutions and arrange all necessary steps for this transport.
For the Heavy Road and Rail transport, Fagioli used its own 32 axle lines rail wagon. The rotor was transhipped onto a 16 Cometto axle lines SPMT with gantry lifting cranes.
In Civitavecchia the rotor was loaded onto the Spliethoff Group’s Heavy Lift vessel, Spiegelgracht, ready for the sea transport.
This combination of activities enables Fagioli to provide their clients with a unique “Total Supply Chain” concept that keeps coordination and responsibility in the hands of one company.
