Eastship-MS Wind Logistics Joint Venture Takes Delivery of 14 Tractor Units from MAN Truck and Bus

The Romanian joint venture between Eastship and MS Projects,  Eastship-MS Wind Logistics, has recently taken delivery of 14 MAN TGX tractor units from the Romanian subsdiary of the German truck and bus manufacturer MAN.

The delivery was made up of units from the following 2 models:

• MAN TGX 41.640 8×4/4 BB SA
  • – D38 engines – 640 hp
  • – towing capacity up to 210t
• MAN TGX 41.580 8×4/4 BL SA
  • – D38 engines – 580hp
  • – towing capacity up to 180t

Each unit comes with advanced suspension, Alcoa wheels, converter and premium features for driver comfort and safety:

• GX/GM cab equipped with:
  • TV, coffee maker,
  • microwave,
  • bed with sun lounger option,
  • leather-wrapped seats and steering wheel

In addition, they include:

• safety systems in place,
• front coupler for pusher function,
• rear tow coupler for trailers with probe and winch.

The joint venture was established in Constanţa, Constanta in November 2022, bringing together the expertise of Eastship Projects & Logistics and MS Special Projects & Transports in a 50/50 shareholding. With its extensive fleet it has the capability to transport two complete wind turbine generators simultaneously. They have invested 14.5 million Euros in specialized equipment and are comited to become the go-to wind energy components transport company in the region.
