Dismantled Hitachi EX2000 Crane Shipped by Wens Maritime from Belgium to Abu Dhabi

Wens Maritime were deployed to ship a new Hitachi EX2000 crane dismantled from ex works Belgium to be delivered in Abu Dhabi by MSC.
The total equipment used are:
- Six 40′ FR containers,
- Two 40′ HC containers
- One 40′ OT container.
The main structure of 38,5t was a challenge to ship pre-lashed on a flat rack due to having to spread the weight. Wens proposed a solution: crafting a hardwood floor and bolstering the unit’s support along its entire length with wooden beams, effectively distributing the cargo’s weight across the entire surface area. The entire deck of the container was first covered with hard wood and extra chairs were placed under the full length of the unit.
The lashing and securing was caried out by PSA BDP.
