deugro have just accomplished a major milestone with the largest transformer that they have ever transported, and it’s the biggest single item c-Port Küstenkanal has ever seen!
Weighing over 430t, with their crane’s counterweight alone at 400t, this move showcases their excellence and expertise in handling the scale and complexity of today’s energy infrastructure projects.
This transformer, produced by Siemens Energy, is a key component of the BorWin5 offshore grid connection system, a cutting-edge 900MW HVDC project developed by TenneT, linking the He Dreiht offshore wind farm in the North Sea to Germany’s onshore grid. This advancement will help supply 1.1 million households with climate-neutral electricity, making a huge impact on the energy transition!
