DEME Completes Successful Installation of 71 WTGs at Fécamp OWF
Topics: blades, DEME, Fécamp offshore wind farm, Innovation, offshore substation, Sea Challenger, seabed preparation, Turbine Installation
All 71 wind turbines at the Fécamp offshore wind farm in France have been successfully installed by DEME.
DEME’s jack-up vessels, ‘Innovation’ and ‘Sea Challenger’, have played a key role, working in a perfect tandem on the project.
‘Innovation’ kicked off the turbine installation campaign and ‘Sea Challenger’ then joined the effort, ensuring the installation of the blades.
DEME’s expertise went beyond turbine installation. They also carried out seabed preparation for the project and installed the offshore substation.
The 497MW Fécamp offshore wind farm can generate enough renewable energy to power the annual electricity consumption of approximately 770,000 people.
Congratulations to all the teams involved in this project!
