Croatian heavy lift specialist Zagrebtrans has taken delivery of a 650 tonne Demag CC3800-1 lattice boom crawler crane.
The CC3800-1 can lift its maximum capacity at 12 metres radius and take 110 tonnes to a height of 120 metres. The crane will be used at the Uljanik shipyard, where it will help with the assembly of an offshore platform crane, lifting components weighing up to 400 tonnes.
Project manager Ivica Šerlija said: “We decided on our most recent acquisition – a new Demag CC 3800-1 lattice boom crawler crane. A number of factors made it the ideal choice, with the two most important ones being its enormous power and its long boom length.
”Established in 1989, Zagrebtrans is headquartered in Zagreb, north west Croatia. The company employs around 150 and has a fleet of 10 cranes ranging from 30 to 1,200 tonnes. Its business includes the national and international shipping of large and oversize goods by road and rail, as well as by water with inland and ocean vessels.
