Cosmatos Group Transport Refinery Equipment to Thessaloniki Port

Cosmatos Group, THLG member for Greece, was recently awarded the transport of refinery equipment to Thessaloniki Port, Greece.

The shipment included a pre-heater which measured

• Length           21.7m
• Width             4.43m
• Height            4.63m
• weight         170t

The second shipment was a vertical steam generator which measured

• Length          24.3 m
• Width             6.37 m
• Height            6.47 m
• Weight       290t

The challenging transport took months to organise, with regular visits to Thessaloniki port to check feasibility and berthing options.

The Project Cargo Team managed to pull together a challenging transport from ex works till FOB on a small chartered ferry.
