5-containers stack collapsed and crashed down from container ship CSCL SPRING onto deck of bunker tanker JINYOU8, moored alongside container ship, at Pacific International Terminal in Tianjin Port, China, in the afternoon Jun 11.

Twistlock failure is believed to be the cause of an accident, 40-foot container was to be lifted from container ship, but it didn’t go off smoothly and destabilized container below.

Luckily, collapsed containers didn’t spark off fire on tanker, which was refueling CSCL SPRING. Tanker apparently, was damaged, CSCL SPRING understood to suffer no or minor damages, and left Tianjin on Jun 12. Photos cnss.com.cn
