Cometto Transport 3000t Patrol Ship in South Korean Yard

The South Korean shipyard of SamKang M&T in Goseong contracted Anjeon Enterprise Co., Ltd to move the new 3000t South Korean Coast Guard’s patrol vessel 1501.

Anjeon Enterprise Co. is a customer of Commetto and they used their Cometto MSPE EVO2 units to transport the vessel 300m from the shipyard to the floating dock.

96 axle lines of the Cometto MSPE EVO2 were divided into sixteen 6 axle units of MSPE EVO2 6/4/2.43 having a payload of 60t per axle line. Four power packs provide the power and two spacers were added.

Vessel manufacturer, SamKang M&T Co., Ltd. has built this patrol ship for the Korea Coast Guard (KCG) in Namhae. This ship replaces the original Jaemin Patrol Ship No. 1, which was built in 1988 by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering. It is now outgoing after 32 years of service. One of the special features is that this new patrol ship is the first one in Korea that includes an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
