Family-owned shipyard company, Cantiere Navale Visentini, based in Porto Viro in the Province of Rovigo near Venice is the leader in the construction of large RoPax ferries which are destined for the Mediterranean and North European market.
Visentini have now received a new shipyard transporter type SYT 6/3 by Cometto for internal movements of ship blocks and components during the construction process,
With its payload about 320 tons, all kind of shipyard applications can be carried efficiently.
The platform with a width of 6,000mm and a length of 16,000mm is made of high grade steel which allows high yield points and a maximum safety coefficient.
Due to its reliable electronic steering and a steering angle of +130°/-130°, it is possible to maneuver easily and safely in narrow areas.
The equipment of the SYT includes lashing points to lift the transporter with the crane, as well as detachable panels on the platform. These facilitate the maintenance work.
