Combilift Secures Double Win at UK Engineering & Manufacturing Awards 2024

Combilift has secured two prestigious honours at this year’s Engineering & Manufacturing Awards.

The Combilift Heavy Equipment Team was recognised with the ‘Design Team of the Year’ award for their groundbreaking work on the 12-Wheel Combi-LC Blade wind turbine blade carrier.

This remarkable machine is engineered to handle offshore wind turbine blades up to 115m in length and weighing as much as 70t, further advancing the renewable energy sector with innovative solutions.

Their design significantly enhances the ability to transport these large, non-uniform loads safely and efficiently from manufacturing sites to storage and deployment locations.

In addition to this, Combilift’s CEO, Martin McVicar, was honoured with the ‘Industry Leader Award.’

The judges commended Martin for his visionary leadership and bold decision-making, which have played a key role in transforming Combilift’s performance and driving innovation throughout the company.
