Storm damage just before Christmas!

In the week, shortly before Christmas, the region of North Rhine-Westphalia was confronted with the effects of a violent storm. In the midst of the aftermath of the storm, the men and cranes of Colonia Spezialfahrzeuge were faced with the challenge of recovering an imposing 25-meter-high tree that had fallen on to a barn.

Their reliable heavyweights, the LTM1200 and the GMK5250L, were mobilized to handle this demanding salvage mission.

The situation required not only technical know-how, but also the highest degree of precision and prudence. Their specialist vehicles moved carefully through the chaos of the storm to reach the tree and then, from a distance of about 40m, lift it over the barn, taking extreme care not to further damage the already damaged roof of the barn.
