After another fantastic Heavies Awards night, the Collett Team returned home with the Job of the Year CAT 3 Award! A fantastic night at this years Heavies awards and another addition to their awards cabinet!

The Heavies awarded their recent project, delivering thirteen trusses into the centre of London to the Leicester Square Hotel construction site, as the winner in the Job of the Year CAT 3 Category!  Over a seven day period the Collett Team delivered thirteen cargoes directly to the construction site in the heart of the capital. A challenging project given the rapidly changeable climate of Central London, the Team’s continued with professionalism carrying out the project to the highest standards whilst dealing with the volumes of West End London traffic in an incredibly busy location.

Stepping forward to collect the award the Collett Heavy Transport & Project’s Division’s Chris Baker, who was responsible for the project, took to the stage to collect the accolade as a very worthy winner! In the words of the Heavies: “The winner captured the Judges’ hearts because it had everything: distance, time constraints and a very challenging and high-profile delivery destination.”

In the Judge’s words: “A very good submission and a fantastic job with incredible challenges. I happened to be in the West End on one of the nights they were delivering, and came out of a theatre just as one of the loads reversed past me down an extraordinarily narrow street. It was like threading a needle – very little clearance, and surrounded by historic buildings and street furniture (not to mention onlookers). A thoroughly professional job.”
