Jan De Nul/MHI Vestas/Parkwind Joint Op Completes Turbine Installation on Northwester 2 project
Northwester 2 project in Belgium has now seen all 23 turbines fully installed.
For heavy haulage company Jan Coesens Transport, based in Geraardsbergen, Belgium, transport missions through different countries are a regular task. Such a mission recently was a 70t excavator which had to be moved from the Netherlands to France. This was going to be one of the first projects with Coesens Transport’s new Faymonville VarioMAX 2+5 lowbed combination that is specifically designed to transport heavy machinery.
The starting point was in Groot Ammers, near Rotterdam. From here, the red rig with the yellow freight had to travel around 250 kilometres across Belgium to the destination in Seclin in the North of France.
The excavator had a width of 4 meters, a height of 4 meters and a length of 9 meters, a great job which fits in line with the Coesens slogan: “Nothing is too big for us!”
