Cochin Shipyard Limited Launch Two HS Eco Freighter 7000 DWT Short Sea Vessels for HS Service GmbH

Two HS Eco Freighter 7000 DWT short sea vessels were launched on Saturday at Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) where they are being built for HS Service GmbH & Co. KG, Germany.
The vessels are designed for carrying a variety of cargoes including:
- project cargo,
- heavy cargo,
- steel coils
- containers,
- dry cargoes,
- timber,
- paper
- bulk cargoes including:
- coal
- grain
The vessels are notable for their eco-friendly design and ice-class capabilities making then suitable for a wide range of shipping routes including those in colder climates.
They are a part of a series of eight vessels being built and mark the entry of CSL into the European short sea market.
