Challenging Space for Sarens’ Plant Component Replacement at Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries

In a confined space, Sarens safely completed installation at the Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc.complex in Karabatan, Atyrau, Kazakhstan

Sarens was commissioned by CNCEC to replace tube bundle and ducts at the Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. complex in Karabatan, Atyrau, Kazakhstan.

The team had to remove the old tube bundles and duct and install new tube bundles and duct in a narrow space. The installation site had limited space due to overhead pipe lines, trenches, man hole, light poles, and fire hydrant. The tube bundle weighed 130t and the duct weighed 56t.

Given the load details and narrow space, the team decided to deploy their 750t Manitowoc M 18000 and their 250t Kobelco CKE 2500. The equipment was mobilised from Uzbekistan to Karabatan and assembled in five days. The load-out was performed using top and tailing method. The installation was completed in a few hours safely.

Stiyo CS, Sarens Operations Manager stated, “Client contacted Sarens with confidence that Sarens can perform the job safely in this narrow working space. Kudos to our team for completing the project in a short duration.”
