Fagioli executed the sea transport and installation of the first section (S21) of the new Storstrøm bridge in Denmark with a delicate operation executed at sea with a tailor-made catamaran built by Fagioli for this kind of offshore civil installations. Fagioli was contracted by Itinera SBJV, a Danish Joint Venture led by Itinera, for the transport and installation of the new Storstrøm bridge which is going to be built in Denmark between Falster and Masnedo.
This challenging project includes:
- the installation of foundation plinths weighing up to 2,500 ton ,
- girders 4,000t,
- pile sections 250t,
- plint 1C, the largest foundation weighing 12,000t.
The project is due to be completion after 3 years.
