Carousel Mobilised On Normand Clipper by Swan Hunter for Global Marine Group

Swan Hunter have successfully completed the mobilisation of a 4000t carousel onto the construction support vessel Normand Clipper for Global Marine Group. The carousel was lifted on to the vessel by the Cormorant, the 600t lift floating sheerlegs from the Multraship fleet.

The Newcastle upon Tyne based company carried out significant structural modifications to the carousel to allow long-term integration onto the vessel, starting with a 3 year charter, with further extension options thereafter.

These mobilisations are a great example of the full service we can provide in addition to the equipment rental, including management of quayside, heavy lift, and seafastening subcontractors. This contract will be followed up with another mobilisation of our 2000t modular carousel spread in Q2 2020.”
