Cadman Cranes Adds a New LTM 1230-5.1 from Liebherr to their Fleet
With a remarkable 230t maximum lifting capacity, a powerful new Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 flagship crane has been added to the East Anglian based, Cadman fleet, redefineing their heavy lifting potential, and setting new industry standards with its impressive reach and advanced features.
Matt Waddingham, Cadman’s M.D. said, “This new Liebherr crane is a game-changer for our fleet. With its substantial capacity, reach, and ability to tackle large and complex lifting projects, the LTM 1230-5.1 expands our lifting capabilities and highlights our commitment to delivering both power and sustainability. It’s an honour to introduce this flagship crane to our clients and to lead the way in environmentally responsible lifting solutions.”
The Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 is equipped with a 75m telescopic boom, which, combined with lattice extensions, allows it to achieve a maximum hoist height of 111m and a radius of up to 86m. Its high lifting capacity and outstanding reach make it particularly suited to projects that require height and precision. The advanced boom technology enables the crane to perform efficiently in scenarios requiring extended hook heights and fully raised configurations, offering unmatched versatility in Cadman Crane’s fleet.
Cadman Cranes remains dedicated to sustainability, and the Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 exemplifies this through advanced eco technology. This includes ECOmode, which minimises fuel consumption and noise emissions by calculating the perfect engine speed when operating the crane superstructure, in addition to ECOdrive option to minimise fuel consumption when on the road.
Cadman Cranes will be running the crane on HVO fuel – a sustainable alternative to traditional diesel. As part of Cadman’s ongoing strategy to reduce its carbon footprint, the use of HVO fuel across the fleet has made significant strides toward the company’s goal of becoming the most sustainable mobile crane hire business in the UK.
