Cadeler’s First M-Class Launched at Hanwha Ocean Ship Yard

On Monday, the 3rd of June 2024, the first of Cadeler’s M-class newbuilds – Wind Maker – from Hanwha Ocean Ship Yard was successfully launched!

Wind Maker will be delivered Q1 2025 and will proceed directly to her first Wind Turbine Installation project, the Greater Changhua Offshore Wind Farm.

Cadeler is proud to deliver yet another state-of-the-art wind installation vessel, capable of installing the next generation of turbines, to the demanding offshore wind market. The Partners’ success is of the utmost importance to Cadeler – not only for commercial viability, but for our common efforts in pushing the envelope for what’s possible to achieve in offshore wind energy expansion. We’re ready to meet a fast-growing and dynamic market demand.

Cadeler thanks their partners and investors who have contributed with remarkable efforts leading to the launch of Wind Maker.

The yard will now complete the commissioning, testing and sea trails.

The hybrid design of Cadeler’s A-class vessels offers Cadeler’s clients unique flexibility, as each A-class vessel can convert from being a foundation installation unit to a wind turbine generator installation vessel within a short period of time
