Breston BV’s hoppers make trip to Australia

Date 12 December

After a period of hard work at Breston BV, they are proud to see their newest hoppers being moved to the quay by Mammoet and lifted on the ship of Jumbo Maritime for a trip to Australia.

Last year, Breston received an order from Stevens Bulk Services, Australia, for the supply of an installation that could buffer, weigh and load bulk good unloaded from ships, such as artificial fertilizer and fertilizer raw materials.

Together with the customer, Breston has gone through all options to engineer a suitable concept for two receiving hoppers. The frame of the 270-tonne weighing hopper is designed to withstand all kinds of complex combinations of forces due to hurricanes, earthquakes and collisions. The strengths of Breston on the field of hoppers, conveyor belts and especially dust control are bundled in one installation.

The hoppers each have a grid with a Breston flex flap system and a dust extraction above and below the grid.
