Boskalis Completes First Maintenance Campaign of 2024 for Harwich Haven Authority

About half of the UK’s total container trade passes through the Harwich Haven. Hence Boskalis’ maintenance dredging work in these ports in the east of England is crucial.

Boskalis has regularly dredged in the Harwich Haven, with various trailing suction dredgers and backhoe dredgers in recent decades, thus facilitating global trade to and from the United Kingdom.

Boskalis has regularly dredged in the Harwich Haven, with various trailing suction dredgers and backhoe dredgers in recent decades, thus facilitating global trade to and from the United Kingdom.

Recently their trailing suction hopper dredger Medway, working for the Harwich Haven Authority, completed the first maintenance campaign of this calendar year, allowing the world’s largest container vessels to continue using the port. In 2024, Boskalis will carry out additional campaigns to keep the harbour accessible for these large container vessels.

Boskalis thanks the Harwich Haven Authority for the excellent cooperation and look

forward to executing the upcoming dredging campaigns.
