Blue Water on Greenland Project for Munck Civil Engineering

In August, Munck Civil Engineering won a contract for airport construction in Nuuk and Ilulissat in Greenland – a four-year project and the company’s biggest project yet.

”Because of our project cargo expertise, our many years of experience with transport to Greenland and our extensive representation in Greenland, with Blue Water offices in five locations, we have entered into an agreement for an in-house solution at Munck in Nyborg. Here, we will assist on a continuous basis with logistics solutions to Munck’s new project, says Thomas Albrechtsen, Business Development Manager Projects, Blue Water Esbjerg.

Shipment of materials, equipment and modules – from Nyborg and Husavik and Hafnafjordur in Iceland – for start-up and erection of camp on construction site in Nuuk was one of the first major assignments on the project. In close cooperation between Blue Water’s offices in Esbjerg, Lindo, Reykjavik and Nuuk, an excellent solution was made for chartering the Briese-controlled vessel ”BBC Lagos”.
