Bleutec Industries Sign up with PENTHUS and Netsco to Develop US Monopile Installer

The Dutch heavy lift specialist company, PENTHUS, is proud to reveal that they have an agreement with U.S. based Bleutec Industries on realizing the first New Monopile Installation Vessel.

Bleutec, PENTHUS and Netsco, Northeast Technical Services Co., Inc., marine engineering specialist have developed an alternative solution to solve the perceived bottleneck caused by the existing WTIVs being inadequate or unavailable. This vessel design focusses on the design parameters that matter most.

A cost effective, simple and safe offshore wind transport and installation vessel will be fully Jones Act compliant and will operate in U.S. waters on the new windfarm developments as of 2024.

The three companies are developing their Binary Marine Installation Soution, BMIS, to break the WTIV bottleneck with a 2 lower cost vessel alternative, carrying out specific piling, transport and installation tasks. The lower cost New Monopile Installation Vessel with a Service Operations Vessel, SOV, in support.

The PENTHUS Monopile Installation Vessel has been invented from a clean sheet. Only adding what is really needed for single purpose use and maximum workability. With shortest fabrication lead-time at lowest costs, yet sustainable.
