BigLift Shipping Reaches 50 this Year – Video

Time flies when you love what you are doing. This year, we celebrate our 50th birthday! We’re taking this opportunity to shout out to everyone who’s been involved in this achievement.

In 1973 we started out as Mammoet Shipping, the sea leg of Mammoet Transport. In 2000 we became a full member of the Spliethoff Group and changed our name to BigLift Shipping B.V.

Looking at the early days, great shifts can been seen in transportation from single piece voyages towards complete projects, from lifting capacities starting at 250t which have now 2,200t become, from single derricks to mast cranes with fly jibs, etc…
