BigLift Delivering Jackets for Hornsea Two Substation and Reactive Compensation Platforms
Heavy Transport Vessel mv BigLift Barentsz sailing from Batam, Indonesia to the UK east coast loaded with the Jacket foundations for the Hornsea Two project. The offshore substation and reactive compensation station jackets weigh over 10,000t and will be discharged by the SSCV Sleipnir of Heerema Marine Contractors.
BigLift’s Heavy Transport Vessel BigLift Barentsz is equipped with an exhaust gas cleaning system, which not only reduces sulphur , but also a significant amount of black carbon and particulate matter from the exhaust gasses.
In addition, sailing with scrubbers using heavy fuel leads to lower CO2 emissions compared to sailing with low sulphur fuel.
