Baltic STS Delivery by Rauma Cata Oy
Two new Konecranes Post Panamax STS cranes have recently been delivered to Lithuanian container terminal operator Klaipeda Smelte Terminals.
Transport of the cranes was awarded to Finnish towing and transport company Rauma Cata Oy. Rauma Cata arranged transport of fully assembled Post Panamax STS cranes from Szczecin to Klaipeda.
During December 2019 Rauma Cata transported another STS crane from Konecranes to Helsinki Multi-Link Terminals. This STS has an outreach of 40m and a backreach of 20m making it the biggest widespan STS crane ever made by Konecranes at the time of ordering.
Rauma Cata Oy provides towage services in ports, at sea and on special contracts in Finnish coastal regions, the Baltic Sea and the whole of Europe. The Company boasts a fleet of ten tugboats and two barges, complemented by wide contacts with other Finnish and international towage companies. Project shipments are performed with their flat deck cargo vessel Enough Talk.
