Balfour Beatty Vinci Takes Delivery of Four Cometto 4 Axle SPMT Units with 129kW PPUs

UK customer Balfour Beatty Vinci is a central player for biggest construction jobs and has received now 16 axle lines of Cometto SPMT with a total payload capacity of approx. 720t. They also ordered four Power Pack Units with 129 kW each.
With these PPU’s they are able to form four compact but powerful 4-axle units.
The main accessories are two laser scanner systems mounted on each of the four independent units. There is one laser in front of the PPU and one on the rear of each 4-axle module.
Additionally there is an automatic fire extinguishing system installed on each Power Pack Unit for a maximum safety in tunnels, for example.
Balfour Beatty Vinci is a long-established joint venture between two global leaders in the delivery of critical infrastructure. For example, the specialists have been awarded the contract for HS2’s main civil engineering works packages lots N1 and N2 in the United Kingdom.
