Baldwins Crane Hire Adding New Liebherr and Grove Cranes to their fleet

With the arrival of new mobile cranes from both Liebherr and Grove, Baldwins Crane Hire are currently well underway with their strategic investment of new cranes.

GMK5120L and GMK5250XL have arrived from Manitowoc’s Grove division, and a new second Liebherr LTM1450-8.1 was added to their wider heavy crane fleet which includes LTM1350 / LTM1500’s, with two super heavy lifters in the Liebherr LTM1800 and the Terex Demag AC1000.

In the 4 axel range a number of Liebherr LTM1120-4.1 have been added to their fleet. These 4 axle cranes have class leading capacity and boom length (66m), and along with VarioBase and VarioBallast; making them ideal cranes for lifting projects with limited space, with simultaneous requirements for high lifting capacity and considerable outreach.

Liam McLoughlin, Director Baldwins Crane Hire (Projects & Marine Division), notes, “The Company has seen a significant increase in the requirement to supply mobile cranes, along with project management and engineering support in the renewable energy generation and storage projects sector. Their Project Teams are engaged at the front end of these projects, providing technical information that is critical to the successful delivery of projects throughout the UK.

“The ability to select from our owner operated and diverse fleet is critical to many project risk registers, with alignment of small and heavy cranes ranging in capacity from 40t to 1000t managed and supplied from a central project function.

“Aside from this market, the company continues to support infrastructure projects and the new efficient crane models from Liebherr and Grove will help to meet our sustainable targets, and those of our clients and the projects we are involved with.”
