Ardent to Concentrate on Emergency Response from their new HQ in IJmuiden
Emergency response and wreck removal experts, Ardent, are planning to move their head office from Houston to IJmuiden in the Netherlands. The move comes at the same time as a renewed concentration towards their emergency response and maritime casualty specialist fields, rather than offshore oil and gas decom work.
The company was created in 2015 through a merger of Svitzer Salvage, part of the Danish A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, and Titan Salvage. Svitzer had taken over Dutch salvage experts Wijsmuller in 2001 and had focussed heavily emergency response/rescue and salvage services. Titan Salvage had become well known for the successful removal of the Costa Concordia, which is considered the most costly and complex maritime salvage in history.
Ardent has built on the reputations of its founding partners to become the market leader in this sector.
