Another 500t Liebherr for NMT

The new Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1

UK rental company NMT Crane Hire has taken delivery of three Liebherr All Terrain cranes, a 500 tonne LTM 1500-8.1 and two 60 tonne LTM 1060-3.1s.

The eight axle LTM 1500-8.1 features a seven section 84 metre main boom plus Y-Guy superlift system, and is equipped with a 91 metre luffing jib. It is the second LTM 1500-8.1 in the company’s fleet.

The three axle LTM 1060-3.1 features a five section 48 metre main boom and a 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, providing a maximum tip height of 67 metres and a maximum radius of 48 metres.

Director Tim Ambridge said: “This second 500 tonne crane was ordered on the back of a very successful first machine.”

Established in 1976, NMT was founded by Nick, Mark and Tim Ambridge – hence the name NMT – and the company was originally set up as a recovery business based in Bedford, but now also has depots around central and southern England.
