ALS transports heavy components to Panama

Date 22 August 2018

Abnormal Load Services (ALS) transported an excavator and six T284 Liebherr dump trucks to a remote copper mine in Panama.

Heavy truck components were transported by Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean’s North America/Sout America ro-ro service. The smaller components were delivered in containers from five different factories. All the components were consolidated in Manzanillo.

One hectare of land was prepared by Wallenius Wilhelmsen Solution’s equipment processing team in Panama for the assembly of the equipment.

The fully assembled dump trucks, each weighing 260 tonnes, were subsequently transported to the port of Punta Rincon using a heavy lift barge.
