ALS Transporting 2 Abnormal Loads Overnight in Germany

ALS Germany ws responsible for the movement of two 29.2t gearboxes plus various ancilliary pieces from Troisdorf near Bonn, to the Port of Hamburg from where the gearboxes would be shipped to Chile.

Sheeting was arranged for the cargo. The small ancillary parts were moved as groupage on a third vehicle.

The transport was completed during an overnight operation.

Dimensions of each gearbox

  • Length: 450cm
  • Width: 225cm
  • Height: 320cm,
  • Weight: 29200kg

The 3 ancilliary pieces had a total weight of just over a tonne.
